The VeraSprite Messenger system uses patented technology to deliver photorealistic rich media messages efficiently and unobtrusively over bandwidth constrained networks on most Java enabled phones. The system consists of an in-house message production studio, a network of servers that store and send the messages, and a lightweight client-side player residing on a mobile device for viewing the messages.
The production studio is used to capture and create the photorealistic talking heads, incorporate the audio and image assets created by the customer for use in the messages, and, then, our software automatically composes and uploads the messages to our servers. Spokespersons are videotaped to create photorealistic talking heads, or VeraSprites, thereby accurately capturing the inherent uniqueness of individuals.
Messages are composed using a custom application that gathers the assets needed, and converts them into a proprietary file type that facilitates transfer over the network from our servers to the VeraSprite Messenger player on a mobile device.
Our servers operate as device aware vending machines that store messages accessible from mobile devices, and provide the appropriate load module and message assets according to the connected device’s specifications.
Once the message has been delivered by the server to the device, the VeraSprite Message Player uses the assets to compose and display the message. A message consists of a photorealistic talking head speaking while accompanied by a series of slides and captions and may end with a call to action redirecting the viewer to a WAP site. Our proprietary sprite animation engine that is part of the Player produces realistic lip synchronization and automatically produces natural-looking head, mouth, and eye movements.
